Landform Project - Beginning
Landform Project
We recently started our first research project of the year: the Landform Project. Each student has been assigned a different landform which they will become an expert of. Choices ranged from mountains to rivers, volcanoes to geysers, and much, much more.
There are two main parts to the project, a research report and a model of the landform. The research will mainly be done in school, however work can be done at home. The writing will be classwork and homework.
The project also covers standards in math, social studies, and poetry. Check with your child to make sure they are keeping up with our schedule!

Landform Project - Culmination
Job Well Done!
The students in our two classes have finished over a month and half's worth of hard work. Their landform models are complete and their reports are bound. The two classes came together to present their information, each sharing what they have learned about their landform.
The project culminated with a museum showing on November 6. Parents, administrators, and other teachers and students came to see the completed projects.
Great job everyone, we are proud of your effort and the results your effort produced.
Millionaire's Club
Millionaire's Club
The students have finished a math project that focused on their skills in place value, rounding, comparing, ordering, and adding. The information was presented on posters showing what the students "purchased" with their million dollars.
